Software Engineer, Full Stack <full-time>

Responsibilities

Full stack web/mobile application development with a variety of languages.
Work in the Stroly Lab project and build the next generation of products.

Minimum Qualifications

+5 year of programming experience.
Excellent software developement skills.
Basic communication skills in Japanese or English required.
UI/UX Designer<full-time>

Responsibilities

Work closely with engineering team, design UX that will be fun, easy and understandable.
Keep learning about the latest frameworks and tools.
Challenge in creating new ideas and writing gimmicks.
Passionate about UI/UX that should reflect in your work.

Minimum Qualifications

Implement web or mobile interfaces using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
Basic communication skills in Japanese or English required.
Software Engineer, Backend<full-time>

Responsibilities

Ensure the stability of our service.
Build report for the building/debug procedures.
Develop documentation for help scale our platform.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in developing with Python or Perl (or have fast learning skill).
Experience with Django is a strong plus.
Experience building large-scale server applications is a strong plus.
Basic communication skills in Japanese or English required.
Software Engineer, Machine Learning <full-time>

Machine Learning at Stroly

The Machine Learning team at Stroly is focus on the research and development of several components that will be part of our constantly evolving service. Using the latest technology and algorithms we aim to make it easier for everybody to share the way they see the world. We also make it easier to find the maps each use may be interested on, according to their preferences and browsing history.

We are passionate about maps, hence most of the projects revolve around image processing, computer vision and manipulation and analysis of geographical information.

Responsibilities

・Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts of machine learning systems and services.
・Research and analyze the various alternatives to tackle specific problems. Find the technology or algorithm that fits better according to our needs.
・Implement and optimize our solutions.
・Work closely with the UI/UX team to translate our concepts into usable, user-focused pieces of our product.
・Contribute with your input and ideas about possible Data Science and Machine learning services.

Minimum Qualifications

・Knowledge of Machine learning fundations.
・Hands-on experience with Tensorflow, Keras, Caffe, etc.
・Software engineering, especially in Python or similar languages.
・Educational background in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.

Great to have experience

・Development of Python applications
・Image processing: Pillow, OpenCV, etc
・GPS traffic data
・Some knowledge of Web application development (to create the prototypes)
・Working with Amazon Web Services infrastructure
・Web development with Django
・Contributions to open source projects
・Some knowledge of Japanese language

Head office (planned to relocate near JR Kyoto station from June, 2017)
